Yellow Mustard Powder

Produced from Sinapis Alba seeds, yellow mustard powder is the most common condiment mustard powder in North America.  With slightly less “hot flavour” than oriental mustard powder, yellow mustard powder has many useful properties.  Our yellow mustard powder contains seed coat mucilage, which increases the water-holding and emulsification properties. Increased viscosity of sauces and maintaining oil emulsions in salad dressings are just two of the uses for this product.  Yellow mustard powder can be added for flavor and functionality in mayonnaise, while reducing the amount of egg yolk powder.  Processed meat producers find it useful as a binder in cooked meat products as a replacement for other plant based proteins.
